It was a competition which only lasted several days, however it was rather long for me. Worriment, excitement, sadness and happiness, I’ve almost experienced all of them.

I can still clearly remember that my heart was jumping with worriment when I opened my computer to check the result of the semi-finals. Luckily, my English was approved by the judges, in other words, I got a chance to take part in the finals. Words cannot express my excitement and I knew I wouldn’t beg for more. Because I was very clear that things wouldn’t be under my control, thus all I could do is to simply treasure this opportunity and show the best of me to all the audiences.

But just like the old saying goes, things always turn out contrary to wishes. Everything was not going on so smoothly. When I went onto the stage, my mind just went blank and I could not come up with any words. As a result, I failed completely in the first round. You can imagine how hopeless I was. To my surprise, I derived gain from my misfortune. Thanks to the failure in the first round, I became quite relaxed and everything went onto the right path again. Western Australia stretched out its both arms to me. It wasn’t until that moment did I realize that: sometimes life is like takin’ a seat at the roulette table and just spinning the wheel. Good or bad, you have to take what comes. And all I can say is that, I am a lucky one this time.
